Dear families, educators and friends,
Our story
Circles was founded by Fran Amad, a former middle school teacher in Houston. In the classroom, he saw firsthand how the limits of traditional education affected students, both academically and socially. That inspired him to reimagine what learning could look like: collaborative, safe, active and joyful, built on meaningful relationships and learning that fits each child.
In the summer of 2026, Fran teamed up with friends with backgrounds in software engineering to start building Circles.
Where we are
Circles is in development, with an anticipated launch in 2027. We are inviting educators, parents, school leaders and anyone passionate about rethinking education to join us as founding collaborators.
We would love to hear:
- your experiences with traditional education
- the challenges you believe deserve more attention
- what a better alternative could look like
- your feedback on Circles as it takes shape
Our vision
We believe education flourishes when families and communities learn and grow together, at home, outdoors and in everyday life. Circles helps in four ways:

Grounded in an appreciation for traditional family values, Circles is secular, inclusive and open to people from every background. Its universal themes and calm, neutral design give families and neighbors a shared space to form genuine connections, discover common ground and build trust. We believe technology, used thoughtfully, should bring people closer, not drive them apart.
Education closer to home. Learning closer to life. People closer to one another.
